3rd November, Week 4 Term 4
From Our Principal-Mr Brendan Moloney
Dear Families,
This week we celebrate two important days in the Churches year, All Saints Day (1st) and All Souls Day (2nd). All Saints' Day, also called All Hallows' Day, Hallowmas, or Feast of All Saints, in the Christian church, a day commemorating all the saints of the church, both known and unknown, who have attained heaven. All Souls' Day, in Roman Catholicism, a day for commemoration of all the faithful departed.
Restoration Works
Progress continues on the restoration works around the school. The student toilets have had all the internal work removed and have been painted, the floor will now be redone before all the internal fittings are replaced ready for use again. We have also had ceilings painted in Stage 2&3, the staffroom and Office following the changing of light fittings to LED. At this stage works are progressing as planned. We thank DJ Construction for prioritising this work and working around the everyday running of the school in order to complete the restoration as soon as possible.
Stage 3 Excursions
You may be aware that we recently postponed the Stage 3 Camp due to the weather forecast at the time, we had a number of families that would not have been able to get to school to catch the bus for departure and predictions of possible flooding were a concern. We are pleased to advise that the camp has been rescheduled to Week 8 and thank Simes Bros for making this possible. We also thank our families for their understanding of this decision.
God Bless,
Brendan Moloney

Stage 2 Circus Arts Excursion
On Friday Stage 2 went to Circus Arts in Byron Bay. When we first got there some of us did a Ninja Warrior course. This course included different types of monkey bars, balance beams, ropes and rings. The other group of kids did a tightrope, a beam and a bar. After that we got to climb a rockwall.
We also did parkour jumping and other jumping activities. We got to learn some cool new tricks on the trampolines. The most exciting part of our visit to the Circus Arts was when some of the Stage 2 students finally got to go on the really high trapeze swing, Mrs Campbell did it too. The last thing we did was some tricks on the hanging silks. After our visit to the Circus Arts we went to a park and had some amazing sausage sizzles.
When I went to circus arts I went on the trapeze. The ladder was very shaky but luckily I was strapped in. When I got up there it was very high and everyone looked tiny. I was the second person to go on the trapeze. It was sooo much fun but also really scary. We had to do a front flip off the netting and my legs were very shaky afterwards. My favourite part of the day was the trapeze.

When I went to Circus Arts I went on the trapeze. The ladder I had to climb was very shaky. I was strapped on to a rope and when I got to the top it was very high up when you look down. A person stuck their hand into the buckle that you have around your waist . I had to grab the trapeze bar, then they let go of me and they pushed me and I was then swinging. I got butterflies in my tummy, but it was still fun on the trapeze. I had to do a somersault to get off the big net. It was fun at Circus Arts. It was so much fun!!!

At the school assembly on Friday I spoke to the whole school about junior showgirl. At the Lismore show I entered the Lismore Junior showgirl competition. I went for an interview before I went on stage and spoke about how old I am, what school I go to and and what I want to be when I grow up. My answer was that I want to be an auto electrician. I came second runner up and had lots of fun.
