Dear Families,
Congratulations to our confirmation Candidates who received the sacrament on Monday night, celebrated by Fr Max. There were 12 candidates altogether, congratulations to Braxton, Jakob and Chase from our school, we pray that the Holy Spirit continues to guide them.
Term 3 Leave
During Term 3 this year I will be taking Long Service Leave for the first 8 weeks of the Term, I will be travelling with family heading north and then travelling the west coast. We are leaving on Friday the 5th of July and I will be returning to work on Monday 16th September.
We are currently undertaking the process for appointing an Acting Principal for my absence, this will be communicated to you later this term once the necessary processes are undertaken.
P&F Representative Group Consultation
We held our P&F meeting last week. As part of this meeting the survey results for our Parent Representative Group were tabled, all those received indicated the same preference for a School Community Group. This was then formally put to the P&F with this format being selected unanimously as our prefered model. Processes for us to move to this model are now underway, please keep an eye out for further information
Tell Them From Me Survey
Our Tell Them From Me Survey closes this Friday. If you have not already had the chance to do so, please take the time to provide us this valuable feedback. We would love to know what you think!
Details on accessing the survey have been sent via COMPASS.
Pupil Free Day
Reminder, Wednesday 29th May all staff will be attending the PROCLAIM day with other schools in the Lismore Diocese, Out of School Hours Care will be operating this day.

Student Awards - Week 3
Kinder - Jarah Wilson, his effort at writing his name and the numbers 0-10.

Stage 2- Ryder Wilson, listening to and applying teacher feedback in all areas of learning.

Stage 3 - Saoirse Magee, her excellent efforts in all subject areas.

Mission News
Pentecost Sunday
On Sunday we celebrated Pentecost. This is a special day for all members of the Church as we remember the Holy Spirit visiting the apostles after the Ascension of Jesus.
The Holy Spirit guides the Church today. Each one of us is called to be witnesses by word and example that others might come to know how we are to live and experience human solidarity.
Sacrament of Confirmation
On Monday night, Braxton and Chase along with 6 students form St Joseph’s Woodburn and 4 students from the Parish, received the Sacrament of Confirmation. We congratulate them on this next step of their initiation into the Catholic Church.
Sorry Day
On Sunday May 26th Australia will commemorate Sorry Day. As a school community we will take the time to remember the importance of Sorry Day on May 24th. The students will participate in a Liturgy and some activities to help them to understand the importance of this day.

Sports News
Tennis
We will start Tennis on Tuesday the 28th of May and run for 5 weeks.
The times will be 12-12.30 - Infants. 12.30-1.15 - Stage 2. 1.15 - 2.00 - Stage 3.
This program is funded by Sporting Schools Australia and will be run free of charge to our students.

Mother's Day Afternoon Tea
Thursday 9th May we held our Mother's Day Liturgy and Afternoon Tea in support of the Cancer Council. $50 was raised. Thank you to all the Mother's, grandmothers and community members who were able to attend. Thank you to Coraki Takeaway for your generous cooking donation.
Library News
This week's display is Inventions and Technology. We also have a lot of new books coming in, thanks to Theresa who covers all our books beautifully. We are also hoping to visit the Village to play Bingo with the residents this week, depending on the rain of course.
